Where to get married in the Lake District?

Low Wood Bay Hotel is by far the best venue to get married in The Lake District. The location is insane, with the rolling hills that are literally everywhere you look, and the beautiful Lake Windermere just across the road! The hotel has it’s own private jetty which allows you to have some incredible sunset couple shots, as well as some beautiful group shots as well!

At first glance, the venue almost has a rustic look to it. Though, it keeps all of it’s best bits hidden, because as soon as you round the corner to the entrance, you are greeted with the most modern looking hotel. It is quite literally the best of both worlds. Low Wood Bay is surrounded with nature, but still allows you to have the stylish wedding that you imagined.

The Low Wood Bay Hotel would be the perfect venue for an intimate wedding, however, it would also be an insane location to have a HUGE one too. The venue allows weddings with up to 280 guests- which is way more than plenty if you’re asking me! As a photographer, i’m often scared of shooting candids whilst the weather is a little iffy. Most people tend to hide indoors during cold weather- which usually means I’ll have to deal with minimal lighting & awful decor. This is literally not the case at Low Wood Bay. Regardless of the weather, they have beautiful grounds for your guests to chill in the sunshine, or a sophisticated bar & lounge area for them to keep their heads dry.
