Summer 2026 Wedding Inspiration from New House Country Hotel, Cardiff

There’s something about a summer wedding in South Wales that just hits differently - long golden hours, light-filled outdoor ceremonies, and a certain buzz of joy that fills the air. Rhiannon & Louis’ wedding at New House Country Hotel, just outside Cardiff, was the perfect example of everything a summer wedding should be: relaxed, romantic, and full of sunshine.

I was so excited to photograph this one, not only because the venue is one of the most scenic in the area (seriously, those views across Cardiff are incredible), but also because I went to school with Rhiannon - and a few of her gorgeous bridesmaids too! It was so special to reconnect and capture such a meaningful day for them.

A Picture-Perfect Summer Wedding Venue in Cardiff

If you're looking for a South Wales wedding venue with panoramic views, classic charm, and the flexibility to enjoy both indoor and outdoor spaces, New House Country Hotel is such a great choice. The gardens are ideal for couple portraits (we had golden hour magic!), and the sweeping views over Cardiff make for the dreamiest backdrop.

From morning prep in the light-filled bridal suite to the buzzing dancefloor later that evening, every part of Rhiannon & Louis’ day was a joy to photograph. The sun didn’t stop shining, which meant we could really make the most of the venue’s outdoor space; perfect for mingling, sipping cocktails on the terrace, and capturing relaxed, natural photos.
