These guys hired me 3 days before they got married….

I was so excited reading this enquiry, ‘Small wedding in Cardiff City, with just our parents and us.’, but then I read on.. ‘In 3 days’. Insane!!! I was firstly so shocked that I was even available, but being a weekday wedding- I typically do have random days completely dedicated to editing.

I had absolute no idea what to expect though, was this a shot-gun wedding, what was this?! I had no real details before meeting the couple & their parents on the day. So I really did just rock up and hope for the best here.

Quickly though, I found out that Alex & James actually got married in Greece a month or so beforehand. Still just a small wedding with their nearest & dearest, but instead of in Cardiff, they did it in a gorgeous Villa in Mykynos. How beautiful! I’m insanely jealous of the photographer who got to capture that. The food sounded incredible, and the couple even jumped into the pool at the end of the night. It really sounded like they had an amazing day over there.

On the day of the Cardiff Wedding, I wasn't actually allowed inside of City Hall to witness the couple signing the papers. So, I settled outside, captured them walking out as legal newly-weds, and then we headed over to Cathays park to grab some Formal group shots, some confetti shots, and then we had a walk around the park & the Cardiff museum steps for an hour getting some incredible editorial photos.

Alex & James looked absolutely gorgeous together, and even though I really only got to know them for the hour I was with them, you could really just tell how in love they are with each other. We had so much fun, and created so many amazing photos- some of my best yet, I would say!
