Why wedding albums are so important!

When photography was invented, it was never even dreamed that images would be as accessible as they are today. I mean, here you are, looking at photographs online. Technology, and the advancement of it, is amazing, and has been in so many different ways.

At just the click of a button, you will have captured a moment of your life and be able to share it with family, friends, and strangers via social media. It has made it so easy for art to be viewed, and shared, and admired.

While this idea of having photographs wherever you go, just there on your screen, is pretty amazing. I kind of feel It’s somehow lost It’s magic.

There on your screen, doesn’t it just feel slightly dull these days? I mean, our brains are all bombarded with the same things. Pictures on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat. They are literally everywhere! And, to me at least, it’s getting a little mundane.

You need to be viewing something that makes you feel special. Especially when it’s your Wedding Day! And, I’ll admit, you’ll feel pretty spectacular when you’re viewing your online gallery, but I can assure you even more that you’ll be bawling when your album comes through the door and you start flicking through.

There’s definitely something to be said for holding an image, or a whole book of them, in your hands. Flicking through an album of your wedding day, reliving the moments, instead of swiping through them on a screen. You may think it has the same effect, but it really really doesn’t. Mobile phones were made to be accessible, but photographs were always meant to be art. They should be displayed and viewed as so.

This is exactly the reason that I have ensured every single couple I witness get married, get’s an album. An 8x8, 20 page, Linen or Leatherette piece of magic, to cherish and pass down for decades. And, let me tell you- 20 pages just isn’t enough! Every one of my clients in 2021 upgraded their albums. And, every single one of them absolutely adore them.
