Choosing your session location. AHHHH. This is such a big one that couples ask me EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY BOOK ME.

I know so many gorgeous locations, I really do. It’s annoying, but I really don’t like to influence my couples too much. I like these locations to be determined by yourselves. Whether it be somewhere you both know very well, or somewhere you’ve been meaning to go.

It is always a tricky one for couples. Finding somewhere that compliments you as a couple. And that’s why I’ve compiled a list of some generic places, to maybe inspire some ideas!

I have also added an extra little list of all the places I WANT to shoot these sessions.

Places you could do your Pre- Wedding Session

1) The place you first met. It’s surprising what you can do with a bar or a coffee shop, dontcha know! Just Pinterest it! ‘Coffee shop photoshoot’, so so cute. Maybe if this special location was the infamous Tinder…. just scroll past this one, hm?

2) Your Local Park. Honestly, Most of my photos have been taken in the most basic of places, usually at the side of busy roads… Somewhere you may think lacks beauty and aesthetic, can really be something special (with a few angles, and a little photoshop help).

3) Waterfall. Particularly if you’re based in South Wales, we have so much beauty right on our doorstep. I know the waterfalls here so very well, and i’d be happy to guide you and get some amazing waterfall shots. Bonus points if you get in.

4) Lake/River/Sea. If you’re a bunch of water babies, and you want to hop in the water, go for it! I’ll join ya. Paddleboarding? Let’s do it. I have one ready in my boot. Equally fine if you just want the water in the background, I s’pose.

5) Your favourite beach. There’s nothing more tranquil than having a cute little beach BBQ or Picnic, and having some random blonde chick photographing you the entire time, let me tell ya.

6) Lighthouse/Windmill/Castle. People are so drawn to manmade structures, and if these speak to you, let’s do it!

7) At your home. Who says you even need to go anywhere?! Let’s stay home, bake some cookies, build a puzzle, or read books by the fire.

8) Farm. Oh, I just love a farm. SERIOUSLY, Let’s go feed the goats!!!

9) Holiday. This is a stretch, I know, but a girl can dream! If you want to take me to Ibiza, to get those sunny holi-bob shots, I beg… take me.

10) Botanical Garden. Botanical gardens have so much potential! You’re covered in the rain, and they’re just so gorgeous. This Is my fave, I think.

Places I want to do Pre wedding Sessions

1) Hitchin Lavender. I’ve literally never ever been here, but it looks so gorgeous! But there are also so many other Lavender fields around! https://www.hitchinlavender.com

2) A City Centre. I am obsessed with the idea of doing a couples session walking the streets of Bath, or London.

3) Butterfly Farm. This would be so so so so cute!!!! All the little butterflies landing on you both as you’re all romantic and adorable.

4) Hot air balloon. How cool would this be? Literally… not even saying anymore.
