What to wear to your pre-wedding session!

The dreaded question. Future hubby’s will rue the day their spouse asks them what they should wear. Let’s be fair, men could care less. It’s down to the ladies. You’re lucky if there’s two of ya.. or your boyfriend is a fashionista.

And, I can almost confirm you’re going to hate my answer to this question. It’s up to you!!!

The truth is, you can be as fancy or as low-key as you’d like to be. If, as a couple, you’re happiest in your pj’s by the fire- let’s set that up, and make it as cosy as heckin’ possible! If you like the idea of dressing up before the big day, then buy that gorgeous red dress, gurl!!

Make sure to take into account where your session is going to be, and what the time of day/time of the year is! This Is a huge factor, as you need to be comfortable. Obviously, don’t go wearing a hoodie in 50 degree heat, or shorts in minus 10..

Most of my couples tend to do their pre-wedding sessions on the day of the Bridal hair & makeup trial! An excuse to be dolled up, as well as a practice for both your bridal prep, and your bridal photographs. This doesn’t necessarily mean they all choose to dress up completely- like I said before, you need to be comfortable. Couples typically wear outfits that aren’t a far stretch away from a normal day for them. This helps the natural vibe of my images, and also just helps you both feel more ‘at home’.

The very simple, and unhelpful answer is that I don’t know what you should wear to your engagement/pre-wedding session. Choose your own vibe. Be your truly authentic selves. It will be perfect regardless of how you look.
